Peroxide uses more than one Hogyoku-named item. Impure Hogyoku is historically documented as a rare progression material associated with Vizard for a developed Soul Reaper. Pure Hogyoku appears in later reward and trading routes with a different identity. Never consume, trade, or price one variant as though it were the other.
Identify the exact variant
Open the inventory and read the full name and description. Record the icon only as a secondary clue, because similar art can be reused. Check whether the item is usable, droppable, tradeable, or bound to the character.
If a guide says “hog” without naming Impure or Pure, ask which item, race, and purpose it means. A shorthand trade message is not enough for an irreversible progression choice.
Impure Hogyoku
The official Impure Hogyoku card was last active in October 2023. It links the item to obtaining Vizard as a maxed Soul Reaper and lists the normal Time Remnant plus ranked Battle Tower as sources at that time.
Treat the identity and historical connection as documented. Confirm the current Soul Reaper requirements, NPC or menu, consumption behavior, and source pool in the live game. Do not consume it before Bankai or other prerequisites merely because the item is present.
Pure Hogyoku
Public item indexes connect Pure Hogyoku with different high-end sources and progression or reward decisions. Current first-party material does not provide a complete use statement, so unsupported details remain unset here.
If you own one, read the live description and current progression prompt. Record the exact source and reward screen. Do not substitute an Impure route or anime lore for the missing field.
Time Remnant choice
A normal Time Remnant historically offers an Impure Hogyoku alongside Product Essence and a random Godly accessory. Current public pages disagree on PE quantity, so inspect the live menu before choosing.
For a Soul Reaper actively pursuing the verified Hogyoku-gated route, the progression item can be difficult to replace. For another character, PE or equipment might be more practical, but trading or account plans can change the choice. Use Time Remnant for the decision worksheet.
Confirm a current source
Historical sources include Time Remnant, Battle Tower, Delve or high-rank activities, and named raids depending on variant. Enter no exact rate without a current reward record. Record activity, difficulty, contribution, party, server date, and item name.
An old drop table can identify where to investigate but cannot prove the item still drops there. One community report is “community reported,” not a guaranteed farm.
Progression safety
Before using a Hogyoku, record race, rank, forms, mastery, NPC dialogue, and all prerequisites. Verify that the current prompt names the exact item. If the interface warns that it will be consumed, stop and confirm the destination system.
Do not hold the drop key or perform a ground exchange with the item selected. If it is tradeable, use the safest current interface and inspect the other party’s exact item before accepting.
Trading decisions
Market value changes with supply, event access, current progression demand, and tradeability. A Hogyoku value from December 2025 is not a fixed 2026 price. Compare recent offers and completed exchanges where visible.
Separate Pure and Impure entries. Date every observation. If buyers use shorthand, restate the full name before negotiation. Use Trading for the value method rather than freezing one number.
Troubleshooting a missing prompt
If the expected NPC or option is absent, confirm race, max progression, first and advanced forms, mastery, reputation, and server freshness. The item alone may not satisfy the route. Rejoin once and reread official community announcements.
Do not consume another rare material to force the menu. Preserve the item and ask for a current screenshot or creator clarification without exposing account data.
Verification record
A useful record contains exact variant, inventory description, source, UTC date, server type, droppable state, NPC or menu, prerequisites, result, and whether the item was consumed. Unknown probability stays blank.
This cautious distinction prevents the most expensive mistake: spending or trading a rare Hogyoku because an old guide described a different variant or a different character state.
