Segunda Etapa is the advanced Arrancar form. The official route connects it to a developed Arrancar, later activity progress, Menos Forest, and the Hollow Prince trial. Older cards describe level 90 and 420 points, but current Hueco Oscura dialogue and boss access should decide readiness.
Verify the prerequisites
Confirm Arrancar status, a usable Resurrection, current rank, and the progression NPC’s dialogue. If the NPC says your soul lacks something, continue eligible activities and return after clear milestones. Do not grind beyond an old total without checking the response.
Choose Time Gates, raids, Invasions, Incursions, or Storm activity only when the current game still credits them. Track results and dialogue changes. Use a consistent route you can finish rather than chasing the largest historical point value.
Reach Hollow Prince
Travel to Menos Forest with enough health and a reliable kit. The official card describes a ruined or castle-like structure and a deep opening leading to the trial. Use visible landmarks and the Menos Forest guide instead of a coordinate from another update.
Before entering, determine where defeat returns you and whether the current build preserves any phase checkpoint. Do not carry unrelated valuables or begin with an untested stat reset.
Plan for a multi-stage fight
The official Hollow Prince card describes direct boss phases separated by ancient Adjuchas and advanced Arrancar opponents. That means the encounter tests endurance, target priority, and resource conservation rather than one burst combo.
Use short punish routes in unknown phases. Save healing and long cooldowns for transitions or adds. Identify which target must fall before the next phase and whether a defeated add grants recovery. Current health, damage, and exact checkpoint behavior need live observation.
Earn the unlock
After completing the full current trial, follow the confirmation prompt and verify Segunda appears in the mode interface. If the game sends you back to an NPC, finish that dialogue before testing activation.
Equip Resurrection, fill the live mode requirement, activate the first form, and use G for Segunda only when the advanced bar is ready. Older documentation describes full-bar layering over Resurrection, but the current HUD decides the sequence.
Learn the time window
Treat Segunda as a limited window until the live mode proves otherwise. Time one activation from start to forced end, note mastery, and repeat under the same conditions. Old cards list historical durations that should not be treated as a 2026 guarantee.
Build a route that finishes early enough to recover safely. Start with a dependable opener, one conversion, one high-value move, and an exit. Add complexity only after the route fits the real duration.
Stats and move roles
Inspect Segunda moves separately from Resurrection moves. Confirm Strength or Spirit scaling, cost, cooldown, range, armor, movement, and recovery. An advanced form can change the value of your base allocation.
For PvE, value phase-safe damage and coverage. For PvP, value activation safety, confirms, escape denial, and what happens when the form ends. Keep a base Arrancar plan because Segunda will not be available for every exchange.
Repeat and master the form
The official route links mastery to use and repeat boss victories. Watch the live mastery indicator and compare progress from a complete mode use versus another Hollow Prince clear. Choose the method that produces observable progress without unnecessary resets.
Practice the hardest part, not only the opening. If the form expires during your final move, shorten the route. If resource runs out, remove a low-value extender before adding more Reiatsu.
Failure recovery
If Hollow Prince access is missing, check level or rank, activity progress, NPC dialogue, Arrancar stage, and first-form completion. If the trial resets, determine whether the checkpoint condition changed or was never reached.
If Segunda will not activate, confirm Resurrection is active, the advanced bar is full, the form is equipped, and the area permits transformation. If moves are absent after victory, complete the return dialogue or current mastery step.
Segunda should be treated as a race-specific advanced mode, not a universal upgrade. Its value depends on your Resurrection foundation, current stats, and ability to survive the entire transformation window.
